Yes! Virtually anyone is a candidate for receiving our professional wrap services. As with all things related to the body and wellness, best wrap results will be achieved and maintained when utilized in conjunction with solid, nutritional, health, and wellness lifestyle habits.

There are a few contraindications to receiving wrap treatments. Please note the few conditions below which will prevent treatment at this time.

ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS:

• Use of Coumadin or other blood thinners
• Epilepsy
• Cancer that has not been in remission for at least two years
• Pregnant or nursing

PATCH TEST:

Our professional strength contour cream contains a potent dose of niacin. If you have never received a professional wrap treatment and you suspect you may have a niacin sensitivity, you may choose to have a patch test done 48 hours prior to receiving treatment. We will apply both our standard wrap cream, and our sensitive wrap cream. Reactions are not overly common, but they can occur and are not harmful.

NIACIN RETENTION REACTION:

If you are taking any niacin-based supplements or using niacin-based products (such as tanning creams, energy drinks, etc), you will need to decrease your niacin levels prior to receiving a wrap service to avoid a possible niacin retention reaction (rare).

During your wrap service, your skin will most likely appear pink or red and will feel warm and tingly. This is normal and is a natural sign of increased circulation to the surface of the skin.

If a reaction such as a rash or hives occurs during or after treatment (rare), you may be experiencing a buildup of niacin in the bloodstream from other niacin-containing products. If this happens, we recommend that you complete a 7-day internal cleanse prior to receiving another wrap. If a more intense or unusual reaction occurs (very rare - we have never seen a bad reaction), please contact SIMPLY DAWN for more information on how to proceed.

During your wrap service, you will wear one of the following:

 
WOMEN: (the smaller, the better)

• A two-piece bikini top and bottom
• A sport bra and a bikini bottom or panties
• A bra and panties

 
MEN:

• Standard white underwear (such as Hanes)
• A Speedo swimsuit

 
PLEASE NOTE:

• We do have in-spa disposable bras and panties that we can provide for you to wear, however, we find that our clients are most comfortable wearing their own clothing during treatment.

FREQUENCY:

• We recommend receiving regular Lymphatic Cleansing Contour Wraps as part of your monthly preventative health maintenance regimen.
• It is safe to receive Lymphatic Cleansing Contour Wrap as often as every 4-7 days, if desired or needed for a specific purpose. We offer both standalone wrap and wrap series options.
• If you are actively working to lose weight or effect change in your body and/or appearance, we recommend completing a 4-6 wrap series, or receiving a professional wrap for every 5-10 pounds of weight lost in order to help maintain skin tightness and to help prevent skin sagging.
• Our professional wraps are also incorporated into our holistic health programs for their incredible results and multiple benefits for body and health.
• Professional wrap services can be perfectly incorporated into your regular maintenance regimen through our SPA 360 Subscription Program.

• Prior to receiving your first wrap, complete a 7-Day Reset: Total Body Cleanse
• Take Cell-U-Rid supplement for at least one week prior to receiving your first wrap, and throughout your wrap series.
• Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day (a good lifestyle habit), for at least one week leading up to your body wrap or throughout your wrap series.
• Continue with a healthy exercise regimen to assist your body in moving lymph

To improve results between sessions, we recommend:

• Performing an enzymatic exfoliation at home 3x per week using our BUFF Body Exfoliator
• Using our MAINTAIN Anti-Cellulite Cream (a milder formulation of our professional contour cream) each day after your bath or shower to increase circulation and enhance wrap results
• Drink at least half your daily allotment of water before drinking anything else
• Practice a healthy lifestyle of exercise and proper diet as recommended through the various health programs we offer. This includes avoiding ultra-processed foods, caffeine and coffee, carbonated drinks, refined sugar and refined grains such as white flour, rice, and pasta, etc.

Before each professional wrap session, you will receive an email with Pre-Treatment, Day Of, and Post-Treatment reminders to note and follow. We will also include a list of contraindications for receiving wrap services. Please review these items to ensure you are free from any specific conditions that would prevent you from receiving a professional wrap treatment. We will also review these at the time of your appointment. Abiding by these guidelines will help ensure safe and effective toutcomes.

1 WEEK PRIOR:

• DO drink a minimum of at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day for at least one week prior to receiving your first body wrap (and preferably every day as a health-promoting practice).
• DO consider completing a 7-Day Reset internal cleanse program to enhance cellulite reduction and inch loss. (Ask for more information.)
• DO take Cell-U-Rid supplement for at least one week prior to receiving your first wrap and throughout your wrap series.
• IMPORTANT! Our contour cream contains niacin. It is important to decrease your niacin levels prior to receiving wrap services in order to avoid a niacin retention reaction. This is temporary and rare, but if a reaction occurs, it will most likely show up as hives on your body. Please avoid niacin supplements (aka: nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, niacinamide), tanning creams, energy drinks, and any other niacin-containing products for at least two days prior to your wrap appointment.

2 DAYS PRIOR:

• If you are concerned that you may have a niacin sensitivity, please request a patch test 2 days prior to your service. We will test you with both our regular and sensitive formulas to ensure a great outcome on the day of your wrap.

DAY OF SERVICE:

• DO NOT drink any liquids for 2 hours prior to your appointment to ensure you will not need to use the rest room during your treatment.
• DO NOT use any lotions or creams on your skin the day of your wrap.
• DO NOT shave the day of your wrap.
• DO NOT shower for 6-8 hours after your service.
• DO NOT apply any additional heat sources prior to, during, or immediately after your wrap. This includes raising your body temperature by exercise, sauna, or other means of heating the body internally.
• NOTE: During treatment, your skin will most likely appear pink or red and will feel warm and tingly. This is normal. This is the skin’s natural response to niacin and is a sign of increased circulation. If a reaction such as a rash or hives occurs during or after your treatment, you may be experiencing a buildup of niacin from other niacin-containing products. POST-TREATMENT:

• After your service has been completed, DO drink at least half your daily allotment of water before drinking anything else.
• DO perform enzymatic exfoliation at home 3x per week using BUFF Body Exfoliator.
• DO use MAINTAIN Anti-Cellulite Cream each day after showering to enhance your results. This product contains a milder formulation of our professional contour cream.
• DO ensure that you practice a healthy lifestyle of exercise and proper diet to maintain the inches lost. AVOID consuming processed foods, caffeine, carbonated drinks, refined sugar and refined grains including white flour, rice, and pasta, etc.

Imagine filtered water flowing from a faucet. You would drink this water because it is (hopefully) clean and fresh. Now imagine a leak in the pipe underneath the sink. THE WRAP PROCESS:

During treatment, we begin by exfoliating your skin with an exzymatic scrub and then applying a professional, potent niacin-based contour cream prior to beginning the wrap. Your skin will naturally begin to flush as circulation increases. Following this step, we perform the wrap using a specialized "plastic wrap" that is strong and stretchy. It is applied directionally and in a specific pattern. In combination with the contour cream, this specialized wrap utilizes acupressure to stimulate lymphatic flow and push liquid waste up through your body, through the thoracic valve, and into the bloodstream where toxins are then processed through the kidneys and eliminated.
